It's that time of year again. The holiday parties begin, families get together and friends gather for meals. I really do love the holidays. It makes it more exciting now that I am full-time with my blog because I can share so many great recipes with you! For example, these blue cheese apples!
For these blue cheese apples I used blue cheese from Salemville® Cheese. They're a company that is known for their renowned smooth, earthy flavor and rich, creamy texture dotted with gorgeous veining. As you know, I am obsessed with blue cheese and all things buffalo flavor. I am transitioning over to Salemville® Cheeses!
Blue Cheese Apples - A Fun Holiday Appetizer
You can use green or red apples for this recipe. Ideally, go with an apple that isn't as sweet—like a Gala. If you like more tartness, green apples work wonders too!
- First, you will want to slice the apple into about ¼ inch pieces and arrange them on a serving platter.
- Next, crumble the Salemville® blue cheese onto the sliced apples.
- Top with chopped walnuts (bonus if they are roasted!)
- Drizzle with a hot honey prior to serving.
Not only is this appetizer full of flavor, but it's so easy to prepare and only contains 4 ingredients. Salemville® Cheeses are rich in calcium and contain no preservatives or chemical additives. We love minimally processed ingredients and no preservatives!
Don't forget to 'pin it' for later!
